Welcome
Hi, and welcome to my site. As this is a private site and you are here, then you are a friend, colleague, interested party, potential investor...well you get the picture.
Educational systems around the world do a great job teaching English as a second language and students become competent and skilled in writing and speaking our language. They learn English in a formal setting, which is fine if they are in a situation where only 'proper' English skills are needed. Whether it is business meetings or informal interactions there will be irony, puns, homophones, slang, double entendres, play-on-words, etc, all focused on humor. It is amazing how much the western world relies on humor for communication. Tell the following joke to a highly educated person (trained in 'proper' English as a second language) and you will get a blank stare or a polite smile:
My first job was at an orange juice factory, but I got canned...........They said I couldn't concentrate.
So, Wordlol seeks to remedy this conundrum by supplementing formal English teaching by defining a word with a humorous visual image. Before clicking on the details page, please peruse first the many images on this page.
